Ticino Update

Hello Everyone!
While we have been working diligently on setting up fundraisers, planning upcoming events, and overall organizing party efforts we came across DA Milan's newsletter and thought it might be of some interest to folks in your area. The guide highlights upcoming events including lectures, meetings, film nights, art exhibits, and a Halloween party! ( Further details included.) As well as asking for support on the health care reform happening in Washington now. To view the newsletter click here: http://www.democratsabroad.org/node/9654

Also, DA is celebrating its 45th anniversary in cities near you: Geneva, Vaud and Milan. The Switzerland based events are set up to fund raise for upcoming events, getting out the vote efforts, and in general support of the Democrats Abroad organization.

Contact your representative for more information. Hope to see you at one, or all of these events, in the near future! See you soon!

Lugano meet up photos

We had a great time getting together at Etnic Cafe in Lugano last week. Check out a slideshow of the photos here!

Lauren brought together many Dems who met monthly leading up to the 2008 Presidential elections. In from Geneva, Maya and Trisan from DA Switzerland Executive Committee were excited by the turnout and happy to meet everyone. Claudia, DA Chair of Milan joined us as well and invited Lugano Dems to come to events she organizes in Milan - the next one being October 14th with guest speaker Prof. Eric Jones on his new book: The 2008 Presidential Elections, A Story in Four Acts. Check back for more event details soon!
We're forming a Voter Registration Committee and are off to a great start with many members who have been organizing voter registration drives for many years through the American Women's Club of Ticino and at Franklin College.

If you are interested in joining the DA Ticino Voter Registration Committee for 2010 elections, please email chair@democrats.ch!
